Been trying to upgrade to the 8Mb package, and the signup page keeys saying
I have moved house or changed phone number, and someone will contact me
within 48 hours. This has never happened.

I have in fact changed my number 2 years ago, and that had no effect on my
previous upgrades.

I fired off an email to customer support, and got an answer asking for more
personal details to change my database entry. I replied with the info, and
nothing happened. I replied again, and got no reply.

I set another ticket going, and got a reply that they would forward it to
their supervisor. I waited a while, and got a reply stating they had neot
heard from ME for 72 hours, so the problem is solved. WTF?!?! No it is not
solved, you sat on your arse for 72 hours waiting for the system to auto
close the job, you lazy f*ck!

Set another ticket gong, with the addition of an instruction not to sit on
the aforementioned arse until the system dumps the job.

Anyone had any similar experiences, and have any tips to bypass Bangladesh
to get something done?

Bob

As a former happy Tiscali customer, I suggest to contact MK Andy in the
broadband forum on the Tiscali site.

Bert.

Nice idea - pity I can't post in the forums. It says I am not logged in,
please log in and try again. At the top of the SAME screen it says I AM
logged in (as it does on all the other pages).

Stupid Tiscali...

You need to register a forum ID separately - yea I agree it seems pretty
stupid, but most forums work the same way.

Oh and some of the recent packet loss was neither BT nor Tiscali's
fault. When Tiscali upgraded more of their network some of the CISCO 10
Gig cards came complete with buggy firmware so Tiscali had to take down
some links until software patches are (were) applied.

I finally got on (the signup complete email took 2 hours to come AFTER the
click this link to confirm your email address email). No answer yet - I
should get one on Monday.

Oh, and if I go to change my phone number on my details page, it says I
can't, because I have moved house or changed my phone number!

Tiscali should have tested before using them live!

Cisco should have tested them before supplying duff kit!

Probably the only way to test them *was* to use them live. Since it only
appears to have affected a couple of links, it might also depend on the
rest of the installation.
