i've been using the mn-500 for a while with no problems.
bought the linksys pap2 voip phone adapter for vonage
yesterday to make the next big plunge.
set everything up per adapter instructions but i can only
make calls not receive.
everything i've researched says it's port forwarding on the
500 that's blocking inbound access, but no one elaborates
on how to configure (triggered or persistent) and if any
other 500 settings need to be altered.
if someone could shed some light on this for me, i'd
greatly appreciate it.

TIA,

mark

As absurd as this seems, your problem is directly linked
to the firewall which was put in place to deterr P2P
sharing of illegal files. Although the wireless station
has limited adjustments for this, they have bypassed a
permanent "shut-off switch". With this info in mind, the
solution becomes a hassle, unless you simply have the
option of routing your computer through a different router
on the line before the wireless one. Or, of course, direct
connecting to your cable or DSL, etc... line.

I know this wasn't much help, but there isn't much
conversation on this topic out there in legitimate
channels.
