Can anyone help me? I'm trying to save a piece on Finnish TV about a gig my
daughter attended. The link is
http://media.almamedia.fi/id/41896.rm?bitratemax=150 but can't. I've tried
emailing the station but have had no response. I don't have broadband so
even the normal playing is poor. Is it possible to save this? Could someone
with broadband save it as a file and send it via email to me? Thanks.

Try

http://media.almamedia.fi/id/41896.rm?bitratemax=50

works fine for me on dialup.

OBTW you need RealPlayer installed to view it.

HTH

Thanks for replying. What I'm trying to do is save the broadcast clip. I can
play it, though it is very freeze frame, but not save it. I've tried various
packages but it won't save. Any ideas?

Looking at it further I see it is an RTSP feed, ie it comes from a streaming
server, so you cannot, as far as I am aware, download the straight file. The
file is always played out in real time.

The actual feed is:-

rtsp://kaista.almamedia.fi/k2-1/4/31225.rm

If it was a streamed file from a normal webserver you could do it, but not
with this type of feed.

Sorry

Dave

there are progs around that will save streaming video but I've never come
across a free one. Have a look on download.com or somewhere like that is a
good start

Did you finish up with the whole 21MB file or did you manage to get only
the last 5 mins with the Rasmus newsclip, glad you got it though.
