Strange WUSB11 Error

Anyone know why my Linksys WUSB11 Instant Wireless adapter works fine
on my PIII but not on my Athlon K7? My Athlon recognizes the device
fine, but I cannot enable it or configure it to my existing wireless
network. I have the latest drivers. I have searched existing posts,
but no one addresses this particular issue.

Specifically:

When attempting to start the Monitor utility, I receive the error (and
I quote, because the message seems to have been translated from
another language (note the "can't found"):

error box title: Loading WLAN.INI Error!
"C:\Program Files\WUSB11 WLAN Monitor\WLAN.INI can't found"

If any paths did not previously exist, I have created them to ensure
the wlan.ini is in the appropriate location, but still receive the
error.

So - is this a problem with the monitor utility or the hardware? And
what would prevent it from working on this board? I have no major USB
or other device conflicts.

Is there another utility to config this?
