Hi,

I have a strange problem..wondering if someone could help.

I have a windows 2003 web edtion with 2 NICs, with static IP setup

1st NIC configured with IP 192.168.8.2/24 gw pointing to 192.168.8.1 (going
to cisco pix for internet access) interface metric 10
2nd NIC configured with IP 192.168.7.2/24 NO gw set. (just local connectiong
to internal network) interface metric 50

cisco pix has public IP & 192.168.8.1 set, also port 80 & 443 forward to
192.168.8.2

Here is the issue, from time to time (randomly) windows 2003 cannot get out
to the internet. During that time when I do ipconfig on server. I can see
that it is missing default gateway (blank).
When checking on TCP/IP properties the gateway is still there (Static
settings NOT DHCP) but agian ipconfig showing gateway as blank

What i have to do to resolve this is that I have to remove GW 192.168.8.1
from TCP/IP and add GW 192.168.8.1 again, and rightaway internet is there
again.

Anyone know whats wrong?
