This sounds exactly like the regression in MS05-019
You need to install the re-released MS05-019 (released on June 14th I think)
If you are running W2K3 SP1, then you need to call MS and get the hotfix in KB898060

I have a two site domain set up with 3 DC's here, and 1 DC there.
Every couple of days connectivity to my remote DC gets weird:
I can ping it (name and IP), but I can't RDC into it, or access shares on it.
I can RDC into another box in that site and then RDC to my DC from there.
I can't access any shares down here from that DC, but I can RDC into servers
down here from that DC.
Also, I start getting all kinds of AD replication errors involving the remote
DC.
Rebooting the remote DC fixes all of this for a couple of days.
The connection between the two sites is a windows VPN.
I don't really know where to start troubleshooting this. Everything works
perfectly after a reboot, so I am leaning toward a computer specific problem
with the remote DC. hardware maybe?
If anyone has seen this kind of thing before, please let me know.
