Strange CA64E router problem

Over the last week or so my CA64E router has started acting up. It seems
totally stable while I am connected to it with one of my PCs, but when not
using the PCs and they are powered off the router seems to lose signal and
then never manage to reconnect until such time as I power up one of the PCs
again at which time it connects OK and seems totally stable.

I have had the router for over 2 years now and it is running the latest
firmware CA6XR-GN.0924.00T from the Amigo wesbite (actually it has had
this level running since it was issued).

Can anyone suggest whether this could be a router problem or an ADSL
problem?

Just a thought Stuart,
does the router still lose sync if both PC's are disconnected entirely from
the mains and not just shut down?

Graham.

The PCs are swithed off at the wall when shutdown!

I've done some more on this and the problem is now that the connection
does not come up immediately if the PCs are back on. I've reported this
to my ISP (Demon) as I believe more now that this is a BT problem. This
morning the link appeared dead for some hours just as if ADSL were not
activated! It has now come back and seems solid for now!

Anyone else in the Broadstairs area of Kent connected via ADSL with
problems?

Stuart
