Hello there

I have heard that I can tweak any windows server 2000/2003 to store events
logs on a remote windows server anybody knows how ?

If you mean by tweak to install some third party application that sends the
event logs to another machine, then sure. There is nothing you can do in the
native OS to do this though.

At some MS field office events they have mentioned a feature
that has been in beta for quite some time, but which is not yet
released for public use that will do central logging of the security
event log messages. It sounds as if this is what you mention.

I use www.winsyslog.com & I've been happy with it so far.

You are refearing to Audit Collection Services, ACS.

It is in beta as far as I know and I havn't seen any release date on it

I want to use ACS in a solution.
then,you meane we can not use ACS even serveral months later?
where can we get any information for it?

ACS appears to be no more - and is going to get wrapped up into MOM. At
least that's what I understand. Shame really - and I hope MS change
their minds.
