Hi, Sorry for the possible easy question: I am connecting two computers
to a wireless routers through ethernet cords. The wireless router has
four ethernet ports on the back so I can use it for wired connection. I
do not want to use wireless service so I simply want to stop wireless
service of the router.

I assume that the wireless service is on by default as long as it is
wireless router and has been installed properly.

Please let me know what to do. Thanks!

It would depend on the router, but typically most wireless routers ship with
the wireless component turned off.
If this isn't the case, you would need to login to the routers web interface
and turn it off (this should be all located in the quickstart/manual that
came with the router)

You might try removing the antenna(s)... hehe. Although that might not be
sufficient.
What make/model of router?

hai

I got your problem. I think you can use your router as a wired router
also. please make sure that you are logging in and disabling the
wireless service. i think the service may be comming from the vendor
itself as disabled.

Please check out.
