Still can't fix error code 2

Even after trying to install my wireless network card in
a different slot I am still getting the same problem.
This is that there is a yellow circle with an exclamation
mark in and when you view properties it says "The
NDIS.VXD, NTKERN.VXD device loaders could not load the
device driver for the device (code 2)."
Is anyone able to suggest trying something else.
Thanks

Try every slot. You might even need to move another device to a
different slot to find one that works with your wireless network card.

I am getting the same error code on a laptop. The best
reason I can come up with is, in my case, the laptop is
running Win 98 and not 98SE. All the documentation I can
find for wireless communication specifies 98SE. Maybe an
MVP can verify this? Just an obervation.

Or contact the wireless NIC manufacturer and see what the minimum
system requirements are for this product.

Good Luck...

I tried every slot including ones that were working with
other cards but I still get the same error message. I
think there maybe a problem with the driver.
Any other suggestions.

Thanks

I'd replace the network card with a different model.

Hi Graham,

What operating system are you using? Every wireless device I have ever seen
requires at least Windows 98se. If you are not running the Second Edition of
Win98, that may be the source of your troubles.
