STILL can't change channels

Channel changes on my SMC Barricade 7004wbr won't stick. I resolved
the previous problem, that my router gave me an error message and
"wouldn't write" when I tried to change channels. I reset the router,
got everything back up and running. But it still won't really change
channels. The router indicates the channel has changed. But
Netstumbler and the Orinoco client manager still say that I'm on
channel 6. This is a problem since I see two other nearby APs
broadcasting on channel six in my neighborhood. Suggestions?????

Set the channel on the wireless in device manager, advanced properties
if you can, reboot.

Hmmm, don't see an option for that in device manager, but I'm running
Windows 2k. Is this an XP option, or am I missing something???

The Device Manager is a feature on all NT based O/S(s). You would go to the
NETWORK tree node to Network Adapters and right-click the adapter in
question and select Properties.
