Station Mode ?

I have seen several of you toss around the term "Station Mode"
I have searched but cant find a description of this on the net.

At least one that I understand. What is it?

Another term for the client radio, subscriber radio, etc. Its the
wireless device that connects to an access point. Laptop wireless
cards would be the clients or stations (unless if they are in
"ad-hoc" mode).
