static arp entry and incoming packets

Hello,

I have a question regarding the implementation of the network stack in
linux:

When I have created a static arp entry for a host, and I receive a
spoofed packet from another host which has the IP of the host for which
I have created a static arp entry as source IP, will this packet be
rejected because the relation MAC <-> IP does not correspond to the
static arp entry or is this relation not checked for incoming packets
without special iptables rules?

Regards,

Markus
