I have an automated backup setup that needs a VPN connection to come up to
run one phase of the backup.
Is there a way to start a PPTP VPN from the command line?

Server 2003 standard.

Hi,

You can try to use RASDIAL or RASPHONE from the Windows\system32 directory.
Here is a link to some information
http://support.microsoft.com/default...B;EN-US;125393

Run Rasdial /? and/or Rasphone /? for more detail.

Thank you,
