My computer, during the night, went off and when it came back on Windows
would not load. It would only start in safe mode. I ran a virus scan in safe
mode and tried to do a system restore, which it would not do. I restarted the
computer and it loaded in normal mode, but very slowly. Can anyone give me an
idea of what causes this? It has never happened before.

You may have a virus your anti-virus program isn't catching or perhaps
malware/spyware/Trojans on the system. I would check the information and
use some of the free tools here: www.aumha.org/secure.html . If you
continue having issues, post to one of the newsgroups for the operating
system you're running. This newsgroup supports Microsoft's Broadband
Networking hardware and software only.
