Well since you didn't say any of the following OS, wireless network
card, & how you are configuring it, I can't really say.
I can inform you that that will not increase the security of your
wireless network because every packet sent from both the router as well
as from the wireless network cards includes that information without
encrypting it. This can be easily read by anyone using netstumbler or
one of the other programs that do the same thing.
