I am working with an application that will start an ssh session to connect to
a remote server, perform a task, and then terminate the ssh session. However,
if the connection to the remote server is unsuccessful (due to incorrect
setup, e.g.), there is an ssh.exe process that remains on the windows server.
We have seen this with both Cygwin and SFU. I can remove this process by
using the task manager.

Is there a way to remove the hung process using a command in the cmd window?
I can see that there is a pid associated with the process in task manager --
can I find this pid using a command?

Thanks in advance for any help you can throw my way.

Susan

look at sysinternals.com "pstools", they have a 'kill' command similar to
*nix
