Every now and then my network "hang" for 20-30 seconds and I can see that my
614+ log shows:

Oct/12/2003 22:37:50 Spoof Attack fromd MAC(00-80-C8-01-6D-E6) Detect,

What does it means....? Is that the reason for my internettrafic hanging?

I use d-link wireless adapter 520+ and d-link wireless router 614+ in my
appartment. This network is linked to another wireless network (also
containing 614+ router and 520+ adapter) via two d-link 900+ wireless
bridges (with d-link 5db antennas (aprox 100 meter sightline between those
two bridges)),

The d-link router 614+ in the other appartment are connected to the
internet. That router has following strange log messages:
Oct/13/2003 21:25:58 Ping of Death Detect 195.50.208.67:45843
80.212.193.167:56302 Packet Dropped
Oct/13/2003 21:25:58 Ping of Death Detect 195.50.208.67:7237
80.212.193.167:42672 Packet Dropped
etc. etc. etc.... many times...

What does it means.. Why does my network "hang" for about 30 seconds every
now and then several times every hour.

Best regard
Jorgen

I would be happy for your response.

Best regards

What it means is that someone is trying to send vast amounts of data to
your network in order to crash the computers as they would become over
loaded. But the router is sitting infront of the machines stopping it.

http://compnetworking.about.com/libr...ingofdeath.htm

As to the router hanging, I am not sure that it would affect the router.
But I would not think so.

If it continues to happen, I would report it.
