Hi, I have network with 100Base 3Com Hub and in one room I need one more
network connection. I figured that I could use some small hub to split the
connection that comes to one computer , but it doesn't work. Is there a way
to do thar without puttong another wire?
thanks

Your ISP is probably only giving you one IP address. Try using a router in
place of a hub

Usually, to join one hub to another hub requires a crossover cable.
Many hubs and most switches will either sense the crossover or provide
a crossover or uplink port to connect them.

Then it should work.

Thanks,
I'll try crossover cable then, I suspected that but didn't have crossover
cable to check it.
One hub that I tried had uplink switch but it was 10Base, I guess it won't
work with
100Base switch.

It should work if the switch is 10/100, but sometimes you need to set
the port speed with software for the switch. Since a 100Bas switch is
so cheap now days it probably makes sense just to go get one.
