Your wireless setup has nothing to do with it. WiFi uses DSSS "Direct
Sequence Spread Spectrum" and many 2.4Ghz phones uses FHSS "Frequency
Hopping Spread Spectrum" which allows multiple handsets. Wifi DSSS receivers
does not seem to like FHSS transmissions nearby.
The stronger phone transmissions of FHSS, changing from one frequency to
another several times a second, is not well accepted by the WiFi receivers.
You could try digital "only" 2.4Ghz phones (no DSS or FHSS or Spread
Spectrum labelling, Panasonic got few of these). They transmit only at two
frequencies (transmit and receive) at low power ~10mW.
The drawback: limited or no support for multiple handsets, maximum two as
far as I know. Read the specs carefully.
