Speedtouch 576 AOL Modem/Router on Tiscali Network

Hi,

Can anyone offer any advice. I have a friend who has acquired a Thomson
Speedtouch 576 Wireless Router that came with AOL branding, installation
guide/software. Is it possible to set up this router to use on the Tiscali
broadband service signed up to? If so how would it be done? Thanks in

Tiscali would send him a modem so at lest he can get going on the Internet.
Tell him to come to the group so we can give him the instructions directly.
Just substitute everything AOL for TISCALI and away you (or your friend) go.
All it will need is the user name and password, then the security settings
adjusted to stop all the neigbours getting free internet.

Ok so as I understand that all he would have to do is enter his Tiscali
username and such like during the AOL install procedure disk that came with
the Wireless Router, is this correct?

Forget the install disc - this asks your AOL screenname, and put's in
the correct format to log on to AOL. Instead, point your browser to
http://speedtouch.lan, and configure your user name etc from there.
