Hello,

I've recently moved over from The Netherlands to the UK. In NL I had
an ADSL line with a SpeedTouch 510 modem. Here in the UK I've also got
an ADSL line, but currently with an USB modem. As we have four
computers to go onto the Internet that's not going to work, so I would
like to use the SpeedTouch. Obviously the modem has been configured
for region Nederland and ADSL voor KPN, which was my Dutch line
provider. I've tried to simply change the username/password combo but
to no avail.

Now, when I hook the modem directly to my computer and run the config
tool for The Netherlands, it finds the modem no problem. If I run the
UK config tool it can't find the modem attached.

I really haven't got a clue how to get the BT-line config onto my
modem. If anybody has any ideas they would be greatly appreciated.
Please send them to my email address, so that I'm sure to see them.

Thanks a million,

For the UK you need:

PPPoA
VPI=0
VCI=38

Tyr having a look at http://forums.dslsupport.co.uk/default.asp if you need
any more advice.

*Grin*
Of course not. That's the whole point. It's configged for the Dutch
line now - region, provider, the works - with the exception of the
username/password which is for the UK line. That obviously wouldn't
work. That's why I posted the question: How do I reconfig the modem to
the UK specs, so that I can use it on a BT line?

Regards,
