I have Speedtouch 330 ADSL Modem.

When I connect it to the USB port it is a lottery if the leds light up. If
they don't then I just have to keep unplugging and plugging it back in until
it does.

I have tried it on a laptop, two PCs and a self powered hub with the same
results. Is this a common problem with these modems ?

TIA

Simon

If neither light appears I would suggest that you have a faulty modem.

If only the USB light comes on it would suggest that you are connecting to a
poor line.

Details of the LED's functions are in the manual

Have you tried Dr Speedtouch?

Use Speedtouch 330 for 1 year - no problems. (Even with Win98 First
Edition!).

I also have to unplug it then plug it back into my 7 port usb(powered) but
it now has to sit on desk rather than out of the way(under desk) - using xp
I guess it could be a common prob - works fine after this occasional messing
around - I'm now considering a modem /router which people say is lots beyyer

XPsp2 installed? I think there is a problem between service pack 2 and
speedtouch.

Bert.

It's a power issue, i.e sometimes when I plug it in nothing
lights up, and when I take it out and plug it in again, it does.
