You should be relatively happy with that! It could be about 8K higher
at the max, but that doesnt seem to happen as much as we would like.

My 2Mb line reaches about 238KBps when its working well. Problem is, I
use Bulldog, so its not as common as I would like! ;-(

not unusual. Some wil get 58 to 61 KB/s. Try speed test on the
ADSL Guide web site... www.adslguide.org (and see their monthly
'top 10' next week, to see how Clara is doing). Peter M.

I've just tested mine using the speed test on adslguide and the results were
Downstream 927 Kbps
Upstream 244 Kbps
Pretty good I think

With Plusnet on a 1 meg connection I'm getting 116.3KB/sec up and 30.1KB/sec down
according to the ADSLguide web page.

As a rough guide you could divide that by two, to equate to your own speed. (At least
I think that would be a decent guide).

On a plusnet 1 meg connection as well and get:

984 kbps downstream
248 kbps upstream.

I think you mean 116.3Kb/s down and 30.1Kb/s up. As a rough guide, you
could divide the downstream figure in 2, but the upstream should be
about the same.

59kb/s is almost always what I get with Demon. Very occasionally I
get slightly more, almost never do I get anything less and when I do
it is usually from one site, and if I try out another it is back to
normal.
