Hello

I am having issues with backup (slow), I am trying to find out how data you
can expect windows will copy in an hour, independent of disk I/O, ram etc.

All the graphs I have seen are based on # of clients, ie, 4 clients, total
throuput about 60 gig/hour.

What can I expect for 1 client, 1 thread ?

Thanks

I'm not sure how one could measure this *without* factoring in I/O, RAM,
general server resource contention, etc...

This is likely more of a hardware issue than anything else. Also, what
backup software are you running, and what are you backing up from/to ?

Hello

Lets say that is not a factor, reason is.. Single client 4 GIG RAM, SAN,
Nothing else really accessing SAN. I was wondering what kind of I/O I should
get.

Using Backup exec / commvault, getting the same througput.

Thanks
