Has anyone run into a situation when updating the new SP-
2 Windows update you recieve a message saying there are
known compatability issues bewtween Microsoft Broadband
Network and this (SP-2) version of Windows? This results
in a complete loss of connection to the internet. Any
advise would be greatly appreciated!

I am having the same issue with an MN 510 adapter. My
base computer is windows 98 and I have a laptop with XP
and the SP-2 update but it has a built-in "non microsoft"
wireless card...those two units are working fine on my
home network.

The only issue with SP2 and the MN500 is actually the BNU
software (which
isn't needed anyways).

To update the BNU, download and run the MSBNDownload.exe
program found here
http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/br...etworking/10_D
LoadMain.mspx

The update for Msbbn stuff is available at
http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/br...DLoadMain.mspx

The specific issue with SP2 is isolated to the MS Broadband networking
Utility, however, the package does also include updated firmware and drivers
which will be installed if they apply to your setup.
