Hi guys,

I have a question about network.

I find there are some UDP packets being sent over my computer.
Source IP is 0.0.0.0 Destination IP is 255.255.255.255.
Source port 68 Destination port is 67

What are these packets for?

Any help or idea or hint will be appreciated !!

Ports 67 + 68 are normally used by DHCP.
Looks like your machine is trying to get it's IP.

They are BOOTP or DHCP requests. Some PC is broadcasting (255.255.255.255)
looking for a server to tell it what its IP address, etc. should be.
It doesn't yet have an IP address, so the source is 0.0.0.0.

If you are on a cable network, you may also see other computers' dhcp
requests and replies.
