My newsgroup connection stopped working yesterday. Each time I tried
I got a message saying no new headers available. Was there a
difficulty with Eternal September? I looked at their website and
noticed there is a limit of 1200 connections per day. Does this mean
connections to the server, or connections to individual groups (which
would mean 200 connections to the server for six groups) or some other
definition of connection? It each posting counted separately? It is
hard to believe I could have reached 1200.

Did not do any download at that time was ok first thing this morning.
Glad you sorted.
They are usually very reliable but once a blue moon I have been down for say
an hour but nothing to complain about.

Posted at 07:34 this morning in the eternal-september.support
newsgroup:-

"The feeder server did not propagate any incoming and outgoing
articles until 4 o'clock this morning. All queued articles have been
properly propagated since then."

There's a support group: eternal-September.support
access to it is even possible without logging on with your E-S credentials.
You usually will receive a reply very quickly from the Sysop himself, Ray Banana.
Even if you don't have a problem it's an interesting group to subscribe to.

Thanks. That explains it. I will look out for the support group but
as there have never been any problems before I was unaware of its
existence.

Thanks for that. Because I have never had a problem I did not know of
the existence of the support group. I'm going to make them a donation
now because of the lack of problems in the past and quick repair on
this occasion.
