Sony Vaio Wireless Problem

I'm having some problems getting a Sony Vaio GRS100 to be able to have a
solid connection to an AP that's more than 5 feet away. I've tried an SMC
Barricade and Dlink DI614+ with no adue. When the AP is less than 5 feet
away it works perfectly, full 11mbps. Anyone got any suggestions?

Thanks for the tips
Jay

Is there a specific channel that's stronger than others?

Thanks Again
Jay

No, but you may be getting interference on the channel you are using - could
be a neighbours wireless network on the same channel.

Nope, still nothing.
Contacted DLink and they told me to disable 4X, which did nothing as well.
I'm supremely stumped :-(
