I'm thinking about getting a new laptop, and I was curious to see if
anybody has installed Redhat 9.0 on this model? I'm most interested
in making sure the PCMCIA or the 802.11b wireless LAN interface
installs cleanly.

I've had a FX220 and I could never get them to install correctly. It
was saying pin a slot b + hex garbage.

I would like to have wireless networking work on the new laptop.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Chris

I have a FX215 and PCMCIA is a nightmare on it. I would recommend against
any Sony Vaio's for linux. Although I have managed to get most things
working on my machine, with considerable effort I might add.

Have you tried google groups? groups.google.com
