Linux version:
Red Hat Linux release 7.2 (Enigma)

Only the firewall/router is linux. All other are windows XP/98

Something wierd happens right now in my network.
I can use intranet, I can use internet.
Email software, outlook, work without any trouble.
Kazaa works on every workstation. (All are windows desktop)
Even Skype (Telephony over internet) work at 50% of his capability.

But, www.hotmail.com does not work! MSN Messenger does not work!
Everything else work almost flawless.

If i go to www.hotmail.com, the web page show the error DNS Error.
If i open msn messenger, "... problem with your internet connection. ...
0x81000370"

It seems there's a problem with either my network, internet (my ISP) or with
Hotmail/MSN.
It can be Hotmail/MSN, because it work everywhere else outside my network.
I'm using the same ISP at work and at home, and it work at home. So this can
only be my network.

2 days ago, my linux stop doing the routing. I restart it, and the routing
restart.
But there MSN does not work. So it seems there is something to do from my
router to allow MSN to connect. But i have no idea what is it.

If you have an idea of what's wrong, can you write me back?
Thanks a lot, it will make me very happy

Bye,

Robert

One problem i did not mention, but it may be very important.
the command up2date return this error:

[root@localhost mail]# up2date
Error communicating with server. The message was:
SSL_connect error

Maybe you can have a better idea!

Thanks

First:

See this about your hotmail problem.
http://www.askmehelpdesk.com/cgi-bin...num=1081799690

I found by using google with the keywords: hotmail 0x81000370

Second:

RedHat Linux (other than Enterprise editions) have all reached end of
life. For most of them (that's all except redhat 9), the SSL
certificates used by them have expired. up2date is not [to my knowledge]
an option for these any more.
