some hosts not available in client network

Hello folks,

I have a win 2k Server SP4 machine, two NICs. One is connected to a DSL
modem the other to the client network. I did redo the RRAS and since then I
face a new problem. Well of course NAT is set and the static route as well.
( It has worked properly before. for years...)
My Problem:
The Clients can not access all hosts in the internet. e.g. the site
www.t-online.de can be accessed 100% from all client machines (in IE) but
the clients cannot access e.g. www.microsoft.com however this site is
available on the server machine but not on clients. Interestingly the
browser is not showing error messages it is only showing a white screen (but
my DNS works fine). Even more interesting is that all sites that are not
accessible on the clients network are those hosts that have ICMP traffic
blocked (means they are not pingable). Are accessible on the server but on
the clients.

I do not know whether this is a routing problem or a general TCP/IP
problem... But in routing there are no filters specified at all.

Any ideas welcome

Thanks

Anton

www.microsoft.com host doesn't have ICMP echo blocked, it can be pinged.
So it seems that some problem in the RRAS set up.
What static route you have given? If you want the
clients to access all of the inernet, the static route
must be:
Destination: 0.0.0.0
Network Mass: 0.0.0.0

both above set to zeros, means allow any destination.

Well thank you for answering but it was not pingable wherever I tried it and
the 0.0.0.0 route I have of course specified as well but it still isn't
working

Thank you

Anton
