Last month in a dialog between "Fern" and "Joe Crown, she stated "The network
HAS been working perfectly for more than a year...However, out of the blue,
the laptop stopped connecting to the network & the internet...I didn't change
any settings, hardware or drivers...One day it was working a-ok and then the
next day it...the laptop doesn't recognize the presence of ANY wireless
networks in the area (there are usually at least 2, plus my own)."
"He stated "My only idea is that you might be using two different pieces of
software to configure your wireless adapter. I have seen it before, as my
dad was trying to use his built in wireless adapter configured with both
Windows & the software that came with it. After we disabled one & configured
the other he has had no problems relating to not being able to connect
wirelessly.
I have a similar problem with one notable [?] exception, i.e. the wireless
laptop in question has only dropped "seeing" one previously recognized
network...
Just "how" do I disable one of the software programs? I assume one of them
to be my Windows XP Home, the other the CD supplied with the adapter
[Microsoft MN-720], especially XP's input...
