What so I need?

I have a wired home network of 3 computers (2 desktop, 1 laptop) I share
files and a DSL internet connection through Microsoft ICS with Zone Alarm as
a firewall. I want to go wireless with the laptop and still be able to
share internet and files. Security is important too. The more I look into
this the more confused I get. Can someone help me come up with a minimum
configuration please?

Minimum configuration would be just an Access Point.

But get a Wireless Router instead - that way you get all the benefits of a
wireless access point + the features of ICS in the box.

i agree with lucas - i use draytek routers and they seem pretty good for
their price.

As the other two have already mentioned, consider getting a DSL router
that also does wireless.

While looking, you should try to find something that supports WPA,
preferably with AES encryption for better security.

You can bridge a WAN and a LAN with XP... this will hook everything
together.
