SNMP memory leak

Dell PowerEdge 600SC with Win2000 Server, SP4, acting as PDC and fileserver
on an AD network. When the SNMP Service starts, it uses more and more memory
for about 30 seconds, then stops. I've found information about similar
problems with some Dell servers on the Dell website, but this particular
model (and the related Intel NIC) are not listed. I've updated the NIC
drivers, but nothing seems to make a difference. Anyone out there have any
ideas?
