Hi All,

I am having Windows 2003 Server + SP1 with Active Directory on it.
He has the DHCP service Installed on.

When trying to open the DHCP Snap-in, I am having problem with open
Address Leases and Resevations Categories.
The DHCP is active and working, but from now, I cannot do anything with the
reservations.
This problem occurs aslo when trying to open the dhcp Snap-In from different
server.

Has Somebody seen that before ?
It that related to Latest Pathes installed? SP1 ?

Please, Help

Thank you
Sion

Hopefully you mean DHCP Server (service named "dhcpserver") :-)

Can you provide us more details as to what error do you get? Can you see
DHCP Server etc. in the snap-in?

For now you can try using netsh.

Again, can you try using netsh?

Haven't seen any such problem so far. It would be great if you can provide
more information about your configuration settings and error messages.

I am having the same problem regardless where I access the DHCP MMC from,
whether it is on the DHCP server or from a workstation accessing the console.
I have over 40 scopes and this has just recently happened and I don't know
how to resolve it either.

I fixed our problem with using the netsh command to show reserved IPs and
noticed a couple of IP that did not have full MACs addresses. From the netsh
command removed the two reservation entries and from that point on I could
access the GIU sanp-in without any problems.

Well, I have the same configuration/problem. I have now 86 reservations done,
and everything works fine. After I make the 87th reservation (doesn't matter
via the MMC plugin, or the netsh dhcp server scope cmdline command), I cannot
use the MMC plugin anymore (Failure: snap-in cannot be initialized when I
click on the address leases, or the reservations).
If I then make a dump of the database using the netsh command line tool, no
reservations are shown at all:

# ================================================== ====================
# Anfang - Reservierte IP-Adressen zu Bereich 192.168.115.0, Server
192.168.115.21 hinzufÂ?gen
# ================================================== ====================

# ================================================== ====================
# Ende - Reservierte IP-Adressen zu Bereich 192.168.115.0, Server
192.168.115.21 hinzufÂ?gen
# ================================================== ====================

I can just restore the old version of the db.

Any ideas would be welcome...
