I've got a Windows 2003 server (sp1) running IIS with all current updates
installed. I have the SMTP server running using several domains with a
handful of users for each domain. Until recently (perhaps when sp1 was
installed?) I was able to get authentication for SMTP relays to work by
giving each user a Windows account that they could use to authenticate for
SMTP, since using the same account used for POP3 ((E-Mail Removed)) will
not work with the IIS SMTP server. Now they can no longer send messages,
when I try I get an error "550 5.7.1 Unable to relay for
(E-Mail Removed)". Can anyone shed some insight into why this no
longer works?
