SMTP relaying

I'm trying to configure the SMTP server in Windows 2003 to allow
relaying for my users. I understand the instructions given in "Install
and Configure the Email Server in Windows Server 2003", but when I open
the IIS snapin, there is no "Default SMTP Virtual Server" listed. I am
able to receive email in all accounts and the clients are able to
retrieve that email so the SMTP service is obviously running, but I'm
not able to configure it. Any ideas?

Is Exchange installed by chance? The Exchange installation removes this
from the IIS snap-in and you would then configure it using the Exchange
System Manager.

Exchange 2000 was installed before the upgrade to Windows 2003. It's
still there, but disabled, since I don't yet have the budget for
Exchange 2003. :-( Any ideas on how to re-enable the snapin?

I don't know how to get it back, hopefully someone else does. Try searching
groups.google.com with this new info.
