Hello:
I am working on migration project from UNIX to
Windows 2003. In the process, I found that UNIX admins use
BLAT (a command line e-mail interface) tool. I can not put
BLAT (16-bit) app on Windows 2003 64-bit. Is there an
equivalent command line tool? Does SMTP service has
command line interface?

Thanks
doc

you can telnet to the email server on port 25 (smtp) and issue standard smtp
commands

What are the standard commands? Do the standard commands
include sending a message to a specific user? Where is the
documentation?
Thanks again,
doc

Search smtp commands on Google to see thousands of examples of sending email via
telnet. All commands are described in RFC 821.

You can use simple script on VBScript to send email through SMTP server. I
think it is more comfortable.
