SMC7004AWBR/Orinoco Silver Card WEP Info?

Is there any Internet info site someone can recommend where practical
explanation of WEP is located to detail how wireless connection is
achieved between a WLAN router and a Orinoco Silver card using 64-bit
WEP?

There seems to be very little data in either of the units' guides as
to how to set up the encrypted configuration in the units so they will
"talk" to each other.

For example: What are the algorithm to be used in setting the "keys"
in each of the units? (As in the card, it seems to require a string of
numbers, while in the router there is required another combination of
numbers to make them compatible with each other.

Any help will be appreciated.
