I recently opened my SMC Barricade SMC 7004VWBR AP/Router and removed
the PCMCIA wifi card from the device and placed it my laptop. The
device is recognised as a SMC 2632 V2 and works fine. My question is
this. What would be involved in adding an external antenna to the
card? As you can see in the photo the card is connected to two
anntenas via solder points on the card. There is also a black wire
connecting the cable to the antenna to the board. Admitingly I'm not
very capable at electronics but it is does not look too dificult. I
would like some feedback from the community before I potentialy
destroy this device in an attempt to get an external attena connector
attached.

Sincerely,

Tyler
