We have a netwrok copier/scanner/printer that can send scanned files to a
shared directory on a file server. A week ago we had some disk issues on one
of our two active directory 2000 server machines(for the same domain). I
moved the DHCP server over from problem domain server A to domain server B
and reset it up with the same Scope Options although I could have missed some
of the Netbios details. Anyway now the scaneer will not connect to the
windows 2003 file server which it was sending scans to before last week. I
set it up to send to an XP machine and that works fine. I also tried sending
to the Windows 2000 domain controller(server A) which is now fixed and that
does not connect either. WINS server A is enabled as a scope option on new
DHCP server. I cannot figure out why the SMB file service on the copier will
connect to an XP workstation but not our servers after this DHCP change.
