I'm running File Server for Macintosh on 2003 Standard SP1.
There are connectivity problems with OS X version 10.3.9 clients.
I can see in the event logs 3 different errors
The most frequent is in the Application event log (maybe 10-15 per day)
Source: MacFile
Category: None
Event ID: 12008
Unable to set the file size for "\RAMVOL\Rampage\Rfl\Pagelist9".
The 2nd most frequent is in the Application Log (maybe 2-3 per day)
Source: MacFile
Category: None
Event ID: 12042
Internal server information for file "\RAMVOL\Rsi Jobs\Default Job\Rsi
Data\10662_FC.eps\Monitor Proof\10662_FC.eps.out:AFP_AfpInfo" was corrupted.
Setting default information.
the 3rd most frequent is in the System Log (1 or 2 every few days)
Source : MACSRV
Category: None
Event ID: 12061
Session from user "prepress" was timed out and disconnected by the server. The
IP address of the Macintosh workstation is in the data.
I've searched in these forums and on Win2000 forums and seen these errors
reported - but never resolved.
The Mac users report that sometimes accessing files on the 2003 Server is very,
very slow (even though it is a dual processor XEON RAID 10 using bonded 1000
base T NICs). I only see 2-5% cpu utilization and maybe 5-10% network
utilization when this occurs (sometimes late at night when only the Macs are
using the 2003 server.
How can I get these fixed or debug the problem?
