Hi, hopefully someone can help me out with this problem because I'm totally
foncused.

I have a windows 2003 server that I'm using to update an application I've
developed. The update uses a .NET remote over the web.

Here's my problem. I have a connection that this server sits solely on so
nothing else touches/uses any of the available bandwidth. It has an
available upload speed of 1024 kbps BUT anytime I test the client
connectivity/download to it, the client recieves approx only 300 kbps.

I've tested it through a number of different outside connections with
varrying speeds, latencies and even time of day, but regardless of the client
connectivity options, I still seem only able to send 300 kbps.

I must have something set up wrong on the server.....no idea what
though....anyone have any suggestions?

Hi!
Is there a firewall present? Do you use NAT on the router?

Just the basic firewall through the windows server app. I do though have the
specific port opened on the firewall that the app is using for the
communication. There's also a basic ADSL router connected but it's doing
IP-passthough to the server.

Does that help?

I'm just using the basic windows firewall, though I do have the specified
port the app is using open within it.

As far as the router, it's just a basic ADSL router and it's doing IP
pass-through to the server.

Does that help?
