This sounds like a classic DNS issue. Make sure that the clients (and the
Domain Controller as well) have only the internal DNS Server IP Address and
*N*O*T* the IP Address of any external DNS Server (like that of your ISP).
However, if your DHCP Service is not running then the clients are not
getting any IP Address leases with the accompanying information (of which
the DNS IP Address is a part).
