I am having a very strange problem with a network share while connecting
through a VPN. When I try to open this share up from any VPN connection it
can take as long as 10 minutes to display the contents. There are 22,862
files and 1,824 folders in the share. There is another share on the same
drive of the same server that has 59,486 files and 8,518 folders that opens
in under 30 seconds via VPN. Both shares open in under a second via LAN. I
have seen the same slow results from multiple clients on different internet
connections. Does anyone have any ideas on what I could throw at this?
