Slow file browsing over VPN. "QUERY PATH INFO"

I've applied all the patches and tweaks, and they have helped.

I am no longer seeing DFS queries after I applied the DFS hotfix, and there
is only one Desktop.ini query after I enabled Desktop.ini caching.

The folder pane is fast after I enabled all the other tweaks like
disabling
recursive querying.

The suppression policy didn't seem to have any effect, I can still see a
shell extension querying for the .svn folder, so I don't know that the
suppression policy worked: I don't know what exactly it was supposed to do.

But the problem I see is that for each line on file pane (on the right side
of Windows Explorer), I get this sequence of 4 repeats:

All of that is duplicate. There is no new information after the first two
lines. The entire sequence takes about 0.6 seconds, so doing it right would
take 0.1 seconds. An entire page of 30 folders (already displayed from
cache in the folder view) takes 20 seconds to display, which would be 5
seconds if it was doing it right. Each Query File Basic Info gets the
Created time, Last Access time, Last Write time, and Change time. Then it
does it all over again. Only the SMB packet signature changes.

Any suggestions?
