Slow DSL - IRQ

Hi,
My computer running ME will not obtain anywhere near
the connection speed of my other two (one running 98 - the
other running XP). My DSL provider waled me through
looking at the device manager and we discovered there are
13 devices sharing the same number 11 Interrupt request
(IRQ), one of which is the network card. He said he was
pretty sure this was the problem, but he was not
authorized to help me with it. I called Toshiba, but the
computer is out of warranty and the person I spoke with
didn't even know what IRQ meant, so I didn't bother with
the credit card.
Is there a way to change/fix this and do you think it
would make any difference in my connection speed?

visit www.dsltreports.com/tweaks and do the tweak test. Then do what it says
to do and see if that helps your connection speed. Also, scan and remove any
found spyware from your pc. I recommend using AdAware. It's a free download
from www.lavasoftusa.com

Wow! I just went there (you misspelled it, but I found
it - it's dslreports.com). All I had to do was change my
RWIN from 4288 to 17520 and my speed went from 315KB to
over 1500KB!! I hope there's no downside to this, because
I'm loving it! Can't than you enough! May you and your's
be blessed for the new year.
