Hi Stephen, one thing to check is your MTU setting.
I had a problem similar to yours when I first set-up my router, it
turned out to be the router set for an MTU of 1500 (this is the
standard for a cable connection I believe). I had to change mine
to a much lower level to make things work correctly.
Go to the following link:

Download and run TCPOptimizer, this will give you the correct setting.
