We have a 2003AD domain with a workstation that is slow on the logon trying
to apply the workstation settings. The error says that the DC is
nonresposive. it quickly applies the personal settings and the user can go
across the network. The DC is also the main dns server. The user logs in
fine on other workstations. I have not tried signing on as myself to see if
it is machine specific.

The user profile may be damaged. Do you have the same issue if logon another user?

Yes we have the same problem with other users. Although XP is supposed to
log you in with a cached profile and load the GP's in the background, I set
the Policy to ignore the netwaork and it seems to have sped it up a little
bit, but not by much.

Thanks
